Limestone Mine Details

    The East Fairfield Coal Co., Limestone Division was started in 1996 as an open pit mine in the Van Port seam of stone in Petersburg, Ohio.  Since that time it has grown to provide Ohio and Pennsylvania state approved aggregates with the use of the computerized processing plant.  The plant washes and sorts stone for use in the construction industry.  In May 2000 an underground limestone mine was started at the same location.
